Esox — Some people go out drinking to socialize, while others view the barstool as respite from overstimulation. I fall into the latter camp. And on top of my lone-wolf tendencies, my natural visage can be less than sunny. When I want to take my unintentional frown out on the town, I go to Esox — where I know no one will try turn it upside down. The bartenders here don’t force small talk, the barflies refrain from the rage-inducing “Smile, sweetheart!” and the insentient pinball machine is the perfect playmate.
