Vermont City Marathon & Relay — On Memorial Day weekend thousands of bodies — lean and fit, young and old, swift-footed and slow, on heels and wheels — take to Burlington’s streets and the shores of Lake Champlain for this annual 26.2-miler. While it’s not as huge as its Boston and Big Apple counterparts, Vermont’s marathon draws serious racers from far and wide, and friendly crowds of locals and Taiko drummers cheer for them all.
