It was every publisher’s nightmare over at the Valley News earlier this week, when the July 21 edition featured a banner with the paper’s name misspelled. You can see a scan of the edition over at Regret The Error, where we first saw it, via Andrew Sullivan.

And then there’s the correction, to which we can only add: We bet you do.

  1. That’s fabulous. I used to work at the Philadelphia Inquirer, and one year we had some fun with the April Fool’s Day edition. Unfortunately the folks in layout didn’t change everything back, so the note at the bottom of the editorial page continued to read “To comment briefly on editorials, call XXX-XXXX. The Editorial Board members will roll their eyes and chuckle at your remarks.”
