Philip H. Berger, age 58 years, a native of St. Albans and more recently of Rutland, died, on Saturday afternoon, March 19, 2016, following complication involving a dirt bike accident in 2014, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center with loving family at his side.
Born in St. Albans on, January 26, 1958, he was the son of the late Alcide and Noella (Smith) Berger. He attended St. Albans schools and was later married to the former Linda Tweedy who survives him.
As an electrical apprentice Philip worked several years for Ryan Brothers Electric of Burlington. He enjoyed NASCAR, camping, his dog and especially family and friends.
In addition to his wife Linda of St. Albans, Phil leaves two sisters and their husbands, Rita and Reg Beliveau Jr of Swanton and Suzanne and Tony Connor of St Albans as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Phil also leaves a very close personal family friend, Sherry Ann Valiton.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father Luke P. Austin will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of the service.
