It’s Monday, which means it’s time for your weekly dose of locavore levity: the Joke of the Week! This week’s joke comes from Burlington’s Michael Robinette. Take it away, Michael…

I’m rewriting Jonathan Edwards’ “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.” It’s just the Bible in all caps.

About That Joke
Says Robinette:  I grew up in a super-religious southern home, and this joke is a sort of fun and lighthearted way of transitioning into talking about that.

Meet the Comedian, Michael Robinette

Michael Robinette honed his craft in Greenville, S.C., where he cofounded No Expectations Comedy. It still puts on the longest-running comedy open mic in the Southeast! This explains why you probably have never heard of him.

Robinette is new to the Burlington comedy scene and is currently working on finding his comedic “dad voice.” He’s raising a child, now 3, with wife Alexa Woodard, whom Robinette describes as a very talented musician.

See Him Live
Robinette is a regular at area comedy open mics and hopes to do more opening and feature slots soon.
