The bad news is that the Christopher Walken  presidential candidacy was a hoax — thanks, Ben!

The good news is that we’re getting a new server!

I know it’s been rough on those of you who read our paper online. Trust us — it sucked trying to upload stuff as well.

I think it’ll be up and running next week.

Stay tuned for details on our 10th birthday party, which takes place September 10 at Nectar’sClub Metronome.

I got a new cellphone. My ringtone is “Roundabout” by Yes.

I don’t think they had “Heart of the Sunrise.” Bummer.

Got something to say?

  1. Odd you’d mention that… I just bought “Octopus” on CD.I had it on tape long ago, and I was feeling like I needed some GG. Then again, I also picked up Gong’s “Angel’s Egg.” What the hell’s going on with me?

  2. There’s a fantastic group called Comus whose debut album was recently re-issued. I hear Genesis era Gabriel (eww) cast in a broadway musical version of the movie “Wickerman.”It’s all Pagan, baby-eating, free-folk pre-prog English witchery.Puts most modern acostic-psych acts to shame.

  3. i love those 2 comus records. i think i like ‘first utterance’ better than ‘to keep from crying’.i need to pick up that reissue. up until now, they have just been some pricey imported reissues. yeah a lot of bands are totally ape-ing comus and many of these older bands. im glad all of this stuff is getting reissued and uncovered because it will show people where the roots of all this stuff is and put a lot of the newer acts to shame. i guess as they say ‘you are only as cool as your most obscure influence’ or something like that.you dont like gabriel-era genesis? whats wrong with you man?c’mon, supper’s ready? reverse mohawks? what’s there not to like?:)

  4. Well, Gabe’s headdress puts me off a tad.I’m just a Van der Graf Generator/King Crimson man, ya know?I need to be terrified by gaping holes violently torn in the fabric of the cosmos and/or hungry, mawing mellotrons.Plus I’m a drum geek and nobody beats Michael Giles and (early) Bruford.
