More signs that the economy is causing art attacks: The Shelburne Art Center is leaving its beautiful, historic downtown venue — officially called The Gallery at 54 Falls Road — and reuniting with its nearby studios on Harbor Road. Naturally, the gallery is offering serious discounts on its inventory of one-of-a-kind artworks and crafts . . . The Vermont History Expo has shelved its annual two-day exploration of the past for 2009. Organized by the Vermont Historical Society, the expo happened each June at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds for the past nine years. Now considering “alternative programming,” the VHS wants to revive the expo in 2010. Here’s hoping it doesn’t become history . . .
