Dorothy Dix Austin, age 71, died February 27, 2016. Dot graduated from Edmunds (Burlington) High School in 1962 and the University of Vermont in 1966 and 1969. She taught elementary school for 39 years, 37 of those years in Burlington at Lawrence Barnes School.
Dot is survived by her husband Ken, son Michael, daughter-in-law Jessica, grandchildren Elliott and Lorelei, sister Betty, sister Nancy, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
In accordance with Dots wishes there will be no visiting hours or funeral. A private gathering will be held on a future date at the familys convenience.
